MASSIMO SAMMI - MUSIC COMPOSER
The young Genoa - Italy born guitarist and composer Massimo Sammi has been acclaimed as one of the most original voices of his generation, both in the jazz and classical idiom. Dave Wayne of JazzReview raves about Sammi's innovative style: "he is a force to be reckoned with - both as a player and as a composer of merit."
His debut album “First Day” has been welcomed by the critics and by the public for its innovative style. He has performed as a bandleader in venues such as The Blue Note in New York and the Regattabar in Boston, as well as in an Italian tour during the summer 2009 with his own quintet. His composition for jazz orchestra “Paraggi (Green Sea at Night)” has been premiered in the world famous Jordan Hall in Boston.
